HDPE pipe and purge-lump regrind: shredder and crusher knives

For pipe reprocessors and molders reclaiming thick HDPE runners, purgings, IBCs, and cut pipe: match shredder, crusher, and bed-knife geometry before chasing harder steel.

Typical field problems

  • Pipe offcuts and purge lumps chip one rotor side or overload the chamber.
  • Output turns dusty or oversized because rotor and bed-knife clearance were not checked together.
  • The buyer has only a worn sample and phone photos, but still needs a fast export quote.

PPI says post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastics are used in mechanical recycling, and standards exist for recycled PE drainage pipe where feasible. Rapid lists pipes, IBCs, and lumps as valid granulator and shredder feed streams.

Use single-shaft shredder knives, plastic crusher blades, and granulator bed knives as the RFQ set.

Send pipe OD, wall thickness, lump size, machine model, old blade photos, and the symptom. Compare our knife-gap checklist and then use the RFQ form.
